Minimum Commitment: 3 Sessions Per Week

Why do we require a minimum of 3 sessions per week?

At BTC Fitness, we are committed to delivering more than just one-off workouts — we aim to create long-term, healthy habits in young people.

To support this goal, and to ensure our clients receive the full benefits of our program(s) we insist all participants to attend, at least, three sessions per week.

This standard is not optional — it’s an essential part of our training model and is backed by the Australian Government’s guidelines, which recommend children engage in, at minimum, 60 minutes of vigorous physical activity at least three times per week for optimal health, development and well-being.

Consistent participation helps children:

Build consistent, positive lifestyle habits that last into adulthood.

Improve overall physical fitness and coordination.

Improve strength, speed, focus, endurance and agility.

Build mental focus and discipline.

Gain and develop confidence through personal progress and working with others in a structured and supportive environment.

This level of consistency is how we get real results — and it’s how BTC Fitness delivers real change.

Learn more about these guidelines and our approach to youth training on our Education page.

Please keep in mind the following guidelines when your child attends our sessions:

  • Apply sunscreen 20 minutes prior to the session
  • Wear sun-safe clothing (e.g., elbow-length shirts and a hat is a must)
  • Bring drinking water. (Drinking water is available on-site but it is recommended to bring your own to eliminate delays and pauses in sessions.)
  • Dress in suitable sports clothing and footwear, such as closed shoes (no open-toed shoes)
  • Remember to bring spare training shoes as school shoes may become dirty or damaged

Before enrolling in any of our programs, please ensure you have thoroughly read, agreed to, and understood our terms and conditions, as these must be acknowledged for participation in BTC Fitness sessions.

Each of our training sessions is designed to develop overall fitness by incorporating a broad range of fundamental disciplines, including strength, speed, agility and endurance. To achieve this, we utilise a variety of evidence-based training methods, ensuring participants build well-rounded physical capacity while progressing safely and effectively.

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)
A training method that alternates short bursts of intense effort with periods of rest or lower-intensity movement. It improves cardiovascular fitness, burns calories efficiently, and builds both strength and endurance.

Strength
Exercises designed to increase muscle force and resilience, usually through resistance such as weights, resistance bands, or bodyweight. Strength training supports joint health, bone density, and overall physical performance.

Speed
Training focused on moving the body or limbs as quickly as possible. Speed sessions improve sprinting ability, reaction time, and explosiveness, often through drills, sprints, and plyometric exercises.

Agility
Workouts that enhance the ability to quickly change direction while maintaining control. Agility training improves coordination, balance, and reaction skills, making it valuable for both sports and daily movement.

Endurance
Training aimed at sustaining physical effort over extended periods. Endurance sessions strengthen the heart, lungs, and muscles’ ability to perform repetitive actions for long durations, such as running, cycling, or swimming.

EMOM (Every Minute on the Minute)
A workout format where a set number of reps of an exercise is completed at the start of each minute. The remainder of the minute is rest. EMOM builds discipline, efficiency, and pacing while challenging both strength and conditioning.

AMRAP (As Many Rounds/Reps As Possible)
A workout structure where participants complete as many rounds or repetitions of a set of exercises as possible within a given time frame. AMRAP tests endurance, speed, and mental toughness.
